But both the Panthers and UNC got sooooo close, and fucking Duke won it last year. At least if we were consistently shit we wouldn't expect much. Coming close and losing is worse than having no chance at all.

Paige's performance down the stretch was the stuff of Legends. The shots he was making and his determination was incredible. So pissed the lost but Damn that was fun.

Agreed. Berry and Meeks performance wasn't anything to turn your nose at, either. Berry particularly in the first half kept UNC in the game. If only they hadn't blown it in the second half . . . .

No, but with both of those teams (and your soccer team) just barely lose, it’s worse than if they lost every game. If they are terrible, then your expectations are lowered, but if they make it to the final and lose, then it crushes your dreams, so to speak.

It’s a good year, but the way they both came so close and blew it is what kills me. We could have been NFL and NCAA champions, but we got knocked out by a team which, while good, almost no one had guessed that they’d be national champions.

Nova was seriously underrated coming into the tournament. They had a fantastic season, were ranked #1 for a good portion of the season, and probably should have been a 1 seed.
